Toys are made to be held, loved, played with and eventually left behind. These toys belonged to my daughter. Over time, our dog, Cédi, began to leave his own marks on them. Bite by bite, familiar objects became damaged, altered and strangely individual. Photographed against white, they appear somewhere between toy, specimen and relic: small records of affection, instinct and impermanence.
